James Arthur Ray No Longer Listed on TLC – Transformational Leadership Council Website`

Thank YOU TLC

Transformational Leadership Council Removes James Ray from their website

In the past few days, James Arthur Ray’s profile has been removed from the TLC website. Ray was a founding member of Jack Canfield’s Transformational Leadership Council along with Ivan Misner, many stars from The Secret and other people in the seminar business that you’ve probably never heard of like (DC Cordova who pictured with Marilyn Stompler at bottom of page).

I’m not sure why TLC took James Ray off their website. It could be 100% self-preservation or a silent disapproval of how Ray is handling the deaths of his customers. Regardless of the reason, their actions speak loudly and clearly. TLC does not want to be associated with James Ray. Maybe James Arthur Ray didn’t pay his TLC dues? Whatever the case, I hope that Mr Ray wakes up and realizes that if your peers is critical of his actions, then you indeed have screwed the pooch (that’s a technical term)!

According to the TLC website: Members of the TLC are leaders in their field and are composed of CEOs, trainers, facilitators, thought leaders, authors, movie producers and directors, and coaches. Members are focused on transformational leadership and deliver their work in the world through workshops, trainings, seminars, books, films, speaking engagements, coaching sessions, TV and radio shows, and special events.

The Seminar Industry is very quiet about what happened at James Ray’s Spiritual Warrior Seminar. John Assaraf and a few others have made statements,  but for the most part they’ve been quiet. And you can’t blame them. The seminar, self help and personal growth industry is reportedly a 11 Billion Dollar industry that has already been stressed due to the economy. Now, that James Ray has killed 3 people, even the People of Walmart are aware that people are paying $5k, $10k, $20k and more to Seminar Companies. This can’t be good for business.

I can only imagine what the next TLC program line up will be at their January Conference will be:

  • Risk Management
  • Crisis Management
  • Handling Criminal Investigations
  • How to handle deaths at your events
  • Ironclad binding sales contracts

Hopefully this is the wake up call for the industry that create wholesale changes in their business practices. Time will tell… if the Business of Consciousness will reform.
